Literature Text

In the cities’ towers high, that now solemn slowly crumble, empty where none do dwell,
Upon ashen ground whose sole life’s to swell and rumble, an earth made now into hell,

In places old and cold that once flashed with destruction’s roar, no one now is left,
Over the death through high clear sky the elderly vultures soar, above a world bereft,

Where could they land that would not soon kill, with feathers falling from the wing,
Always moving, never long could they stay still, echoing croaks and calls they sing,

Few they are in time, less than there were before, living a past that can no longer be,
Their days have passed, ‘n soon they’ll be no more, naught but shadows on the sea,

For where the lands are empty there is of living things a void, none for them to eat,
What once lived has long since by men been destroyed, an end they’re soon to meet.
The next part in the extended poem.  The first two parts of which were posted some time ago.  I figure it will be five parts in total.  Looking to upload a drawing or two soon, just have to finish them.  Wish I still had my scanner, made things a lot easier.  More pictures of Eleven Mile to be posted this weekend and I'll take a look at some of my old photos, maybe add to the Iraq gallery.  Will respond to other things as well.
